I am not a huge chili person but it is definitely true that chili comes out best when it is cooked for hours in the slow cooker and this chili recipe is the best I have come across within the past few years. For this recipe, you cook one pound of ground beef over medium-high heat in a skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Once the ground beef is browned, saute one chopped medium onion and one diced red pepper for 4-5 minutes. Place in slow cooker and now add one 10 oz can rotel tomatoes, one can of black beans, 8 oz tomato sauce, 1 tsp cumin, 1/2 tsp chili powder, 1/2 tsp paprika and 1/2 tsp salt. Pour in 1/4 cup chicken broth and add one bay leaf. Cook on high for 4 hours. Now that is some good chili your entire family will love hopefully as much as my nephew Aidan in the video below enjoyed it.
